Abstract Background: in this study, the pressure of bore, collapse and overtopping waves with free boundary on the Caisson breakwater structure is investigated. In this regard, the effects of the water depth, wave period and height on the pressure variations of the structure is investigated. Moreover, the interaction between the Caisson breakwater and the wave is investigated by use of simulating in the Star-CCM software. Aim: the purpose of this study is the numerical modelling of the rigid vertical wall of the coast using the Star-CCM software, and investigation of the regular wave performance in dealing with the structure. Methodology: in order to prove the accuracy of the results obtained by the Star-CCM software, numerical results for single wave behaviour are obtained. The comparison shows that there is a very good agreement between the results simulated and available literature. Then, the wave pressure in the periodic mode for the three wave types with four and five different wave periods and heights, respectively, and three different water depths is investigated. Moreover, the results predicted by the decision tree algorithm are compared with those obtained from the StarCMS Plus software. This comparison is made for the time history of pressure at different points of the wall, and various wave types with different wave period and ratios of the water depth to the wave height. Results: In the following stages of wave development and movement towards the beach, Increase of the damping energy caused by the viscosity leads to increasing the Wave power and subsequently the wave height.the comparison of graphs shows that the increase in the frequency of wave fluctuations increases the noise produced by the impact. Also increasing the wave height has an effective correlation with pressure. In addition, one can be seen the relative variation of pressure during the time. Conclusions: In the time interval related to each of the periods, the variation of pressure over time is no
