Abstract Arabic contemporary Qasida has interacted with other literary genres such as fictions, novels, and plays for decade, having inspired by particular styles from them. More substantially, contemporary poetry in the present era has passed the boundaries of these literary genres and has had a mutual effect on the arts such as painting and cinema. Being affected by cinema in terms such as the fixed and moving camera position, successiveness of nouns and words in the poetic assemblage, poetry has taken a different path. Adnan Al-Sayegh is one of the contemporary poets whose qasidas are full of cinematic techniques. Among the important motivations forcing Al-Sayegh to make use of the cinematic genre was the wars that he witnessed during his lifetime, making him see the world differently. The present research seeks to adapt the poet's poetic view based on two cinematic techniques and sequences of nouns and words in a poetic assemblage via a descriptive-analytical method. The research findings show that the style employed by Al-Sayegh in his poetry makes the audience stand before the cinematic narrative. Using this style, his qasidas are mixed with cinematic techniques that are far from ambiguity. So the present research axes are divided into two parts: the fixed and moving camera position, and the sequence of verbs and nouns in the poetic assemblage.
