Abstract

In this study, an integrated membrane air conditioning system was modeled and its performance was evaluated. The integrated membrane air conditioning system consists of two separate units of dehumidification and dehumidification. For this purpose, first the dehumidification process by the membrane and then the dehumidification process by the membrane were modeled. The two processes of dehumidification and air dehumidification came together to create an integrated membrane air conditioning system. Then, the parameters affecting the overall performance of the system, such as the mole-to-feed ratio (Stage cut), humidification geometry, operating conditions, as well as membrane materials were investigated. Increasing the molar ratio of permeate to feed has a positive effect on the outlet air temperature of the dehumidifier unit and the relative humidity of the outlet unit of the dehumidification unit.
