چکیده

Abstract The effect of different seasons on some stevia metabolites in Bushehr province Gholamreza Abdi* 1 and Mohammad Hedayat2 1- Department of Biotechnology, Persian Gulf Research Institute, Persian Gulf University, Bushehr, Iran 2- Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Persian Gulf University, Bushehr, Iran Email:abdi@pgu,ac.ir Statement of Problem: Advanced biotechnology has introduced a new generation of natural sweeteners for use in industrial and household applications. By applying this science, it has been possible to use commercially available natural sweetener of Stevia as a non-caloric sweetener. Research Purpose: Due to the climatic conditions of Bushehr and the importance of the compounds, structure and therapeutic properties and medical uses of Stevia and the specific conditions of Stevia breeding research sponsored by Dashti Growth Center to investigate the feasibility of growing this plant in Bushehr province and extracting its active ingredients it placed. Research Method: After preparing the soil and leveling it, cultivation was done at specified intervals. Four times vegetative characteristics and major metabolites of these plants were measured in four consecutive seasons and the mean data of each season were compared statistically. Cultivated plants were averaged from 3 plants. Duncan test at the 5% level of probability was used to compare the means of different traits. Results and Conclusion: Compatibility study of this plant in 4 consecutive seasons showed that it is possible to plant this plant in three seasons of the year as well as 3 economic crops per year. Overall, the results showed that Stevia is compatible with the study area in three seasons, and can be cultivated widely. Stevia is economically viable until the third season in terms of yield and amount of active ingredients. And in winter, quantity and quality of active ingredients and growth were decrease. Evaluation of stevioside and ribadioside stevia glycosides in differen
