Abstract

Background: This research is used to investigate the allelopathic effects of plants together and to reduce these effects with organic compounds. Aim: Allelopathic causes germination and irregular growth in other plants, so it is important to investigate this issue scientifically and provide a solution. Methodology:To investigate this research, an experiment was conducted separately in the greenhouse to investigate the vegetative growth and germination percentage and speed in the laboratory with a completely random design with three replications. The compounds with organic and allelopathic substances were filled in the pots with a ratio of 1 to 4, and then African grass seed cultivation was done. The analysis of the data was done by analyzing the variance of the data and comparing the mean by Duncan's multi-range test at the probability level of 5%. The data related to the measured traits were analyzed by software such as Excel and SAS. Conclusions: The results of analysis of variance and comparing the mean of morpho-physiological and phytochemical traits of African grass (Cynodon dactylon L.) under stress with allelopathic compounds showed that the pot with fresh leaves of Conocarpus erectus L. and Terminalia catappa L. significantly improved some traits of African grass such as germination percentage and speed, It reduced the plant height, root length, grass color, root and shoot fresh weight compared to the control. The pot with rotten leaves of Terminalia catappa L. and Conocarpus erectus L. compared to their fresh leaves increased the growth of African grass in some traits with significant differences. Algae Green significantly, compared to sheep manure and brown algae, had the highest increase in the traits of shoot and root wet weight, tillering, chlorophyll, height, leaf area, root length and proline content.
