Abstract

The Iraq government is one of the most important and oldest government in the Persian Gulf region which has a rich history and was once the cradle of human civilizations and the formation of governments. Iraq has always been the focus of extra- regional powers because of its strategic location and with outbreak of world war 1 and the accession of the Ottoman government to the Axis powers, it was attacked by British and in 1916 came under British rule under the Sykes- Pico agreement. with British full control of Iraq the opportunity for important policies and actions in various field particular provided in the political field and the formation of the iraq government. The present study aims to examine the dimension and manner of political independence and nation-state in Iraq during the years 1915-1932. The main findings of this research have been done by descriptive- analytical method this is with the occupation of Iraq territory by the British and its protection by the British with the formation and supervison of the government, has played a direct role in the process of State- Building in Iraq during these years.
