Abstract

Background: Unbalanced and improper use of some chemical inputs is one of the harmful environmental factors that reduce soil quality and health. Compost tea as a vermicompost extract has most of the beneficial properties of vermicompost from which it is made; during extraction, soluble mineral nutrients, humic acid, fulvic acid, hormones and growth regulators enter the extract from the vermicompost. Aim: The aim of this study was to produce organic produce and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and also to determine the best cultivar and concentration of compost tea on the growth and yield of three tomato cultivars. Methodology: This experiment is a split plot in the form of a randomized complete block design with three replications and two factors including three tomato cultivars (4129, Senna and Hirad) and five levels of compost tea (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%). Weight) was conducted in the research greenhouse of the University of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Persian Gulf University. Traits included total yield, single plant yield, average fruit weight, number of single plant fruits, average fruit weight, number of fruits per cluster, number of flowers per cluster, number of internodes to first cluster, number of clusters per plant, fruit distance from the ground Stem diameter, fruit stiffness, length, width and length to width ratio of fruit, titratable acidity, soluble solids, fruit pH, vitamin C, and total chlorophyll. Conclusions: The results of analysis of variance showed that the effect of different cultivars and treatments of compost tea on all measured traits except the number of spikes per plant and fruit distance from the ground were significant. Comparison of mean data showed that the highest total yield (248.93 kg / ha), single plant yield (82.97 kg), average fruit weight (195.27 g), number of fruits per cluster (8), number of single fruits Plant (42.16), number of flowers per spike (9.6), firmness of fruit texture (4.11 kg / cm2) and lengt
