چکیده

Today, a wide range of secondary metabolites of medicinal plants is used to prepare traditional and chemical drugs. The amount of active ingredients of plants is influenced by various environmental conditions and is genetically controlled. Trigonella foenum-graecum L. is an herbaceous plant and annual of Fabaceae family. Its roots, seeds and aerial organs are very rich in terms of the amount of exogenous metabolites and have various steroidal saponins, such as diosgenin or mozhenin, ticogenine, Trigonelline, and so on. Given the importance of the economics of plant metabolites and increased demand, researchers are seeking ways to produce these compounds more. Plants grown under different field conditions have a wide range of different biological compounds that produce and accumulate in the plant with the use of microorganisms, biological and non-biotic fertilizers, and the like. The use of in vitro culture using a variety of growth regulators, non- biological stresses and suitable culture media can accelerate the production of significant amounts of active ingredients Compared to farm conditions. It seems that due to the lack of adequate soil and water for agriculture in the country and the increasing use of herbal medicines in the treatment of various diseases, in vitro culture is more affordable.
