چکیده

In this study, the production of zeolite 13X by hydrothermal method and modification pores of zeolite by amine to improve its properties have been investigated. Functionalization by N-H bands from ethyelen diamine solution with SiOH groups of zeolite have been conducted. Then the samples are characterized by fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and surface area analysis. Surface area is determined by BET method for zeolite 13X and amine modified samples during for-mation of gel and after granules production are (628.86, 459.75 ,642.183) m2/gr, respectively. Stretching vibration in FTIR spectra at 1200-1700 nm is ascribed to N-H bands in structure of zeolite. Adsorp-tion isotherms of pure and mixture of N2 and CO2 gases in zeolite 13X and amine modified samples are measured. The measured of adsorption of N2 and CO2 gases on synthesized and modified adsorbents have been performed in a static volumetric apparatus. The results of pure adsorp-tion are fitted by sips model. Therefore adsorption equilibrium data of binary N2 / CO2 system on synthesized and modified adsorbents are measured and the results of measurement are compared with the results of thermodynamic IAST model. According to theoretical point of view it is predicted that the modification of zeolites by amine can be im-proved selectivity of N2 / CO2 mixtures. However, results of the present study show that modified samples behave differently and their selectiv-ity and adsorption capacity for both gases depend on temperature and concentration.
