چکیده

The aim of this research is to survey the challenges of computer software developers' companies in country, and based on research findings to examine software metrics. Using one sample test, factors related to process management and documentation quality have been identified as challenges. Resulting of two sample tests with significance level greater than 0.05, there is no significant difference between the number of members of software project teams and variables related to the challenges of documentation qualities, system requirements, programming quality, maintenance, personnel resources and process management. The significant relationship between software project duration and system requirements were observed and the companies that run the projects shorter in duration, having more challenging to requirements. There are more challenges related to the qualities of software programming and maintenance in groups whose members are less experienced. A significant difference at least between two factors was confirmed by Friedman test, and challenges relating to software maintenance have the lowest mean rank and best situation, whereas challenges relating to documentary has the highest mean rank and worst situation. Pearson correlation test showed that there are significant positive relationships between all the variables. Examining software metrics, RUP methodology is mostly used by computer software developers, but actually computer software developers by using Agile methodology, encounter less challenges in software engineering.
