Ranked among the more eminent Persian poets Naser khosrow’s (394-481A.H. / 1009-1096A.D.) collected poems, according to his words, include proverbs and wisdom that brought out his poetic creativity. Using various old sources, this paper has probed the origin of the certain proverbs and wisdom that Naser khosrow used in his collected poems. The Persian origins of these proverbs and wisdom will be perceived when their old sources have been discovered. Amazingly, these proverbs and wisdom are far removed from their origin and so mixed with Arabic language that without searching amongst old texts it is difficult and often impossible to find out anything about their Persian origin.
