چکیده

In the late 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century there was an ethical and social need to found romanticism school. In fact it was a philosophical and literary revival. This predominated emotions and phantasm on logic and calls for the liberty of the artist from the poetic limitations especially the poetry measures. Beshara Al-khori who is named the little Akhtal is one of the significant modern poets in modern Arabic poetry. He is called the poet of "romance and love" because of his passionate full of love and delicate poems. Romanticism has two main sides: the personal and the social one in which the poet transfers passions and feelings of a person or society to the reader. Al-khori, a committed poet to his society and with his great imagery used these two sides in his texts. Homeland independence, science and other social issues are seen more in his poetry. This descriptive analytical study focused on the manifestations of romanticism in Beshara Al-khori's poetry book. We found that, personal romanticism is seen in subjects such as personal enthusiasm and eagerness, naturalism, love, imagery. Social romanticism is implicated in subjects such as love of freedom, injustice, social class divisions, poorness, systematic corruption, love of homeland, and the independence of Lebanon.
