Abstract

Background: With the changing conditions of business behavior, the fourth generation industry means the rapid development of new technologies, the increasing intensity of competition, and the evolving globalization, thus confronting the manufacturing industries with new challenges. For this reason, industries need a model to evaluate their readiness and identify their weaknesses and take action to fix them. Aim: The aim of this research is to evaluate the level of preparedness of manufacturing industries of Bushehr province in the implementation of fourth generation industry technologies with data mining approaches. Methodology: This research is an applied type of research in terms of its purpose and it is in the category of descriptive research in terms of the method of data collection. In this study, machine learning algorithms have been used to cluster manufacturing industries and deep learning algorithms have been used to predict the performance of industries. The software used in this research is MATLAB software. Conclusions: Since approximately 77% of the industries are in the first cluster, it can be concluded that the readiness of the manufacturing industries of Bushehr province to implement the technologies of the fourth generation industry is at a low level. It seems that industry readiness of 0.4 industries was generally low in many of the studied locations, which could be due to the newness of this paradigm.
