Abstract

This study is designed to investigate the effect of compost tea application on morphological and biochemical traits of marigold (Tagetes patula). The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with three replications in 1398 in the greenhouse and laboratories of Fars Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Training Center, Shiraz. Fars was implemented in Shiraz. The experimental treatment factor was compost tea, which was sprayed at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 75% volumes (V/V) levels as a foliar application and at 30, 45, 60 and 75% volumes (V/V) levels as soil application along with treatment. Witness Control (irrigation with distilled water) was used. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the application of compost tea had a significant effect on the content of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, manganese, iron, zinc, copper in the aerial parts shoot, on the content of chlorophyll a, b, whole leaf total chlorophyll and some Mmorphological traits such as shoot length, inflorescence length, stem diameter, number of lateral branches, leaf area area, flower diameter, number of leaves per plant, number of flowers and buds, as well as petal carotenoid traits, wet fresh and dry weight of shoots and dry root weight Had. The use of compost tea did not have a significant effect on some morphological traits such as root length, root volume, wet and root fresh weight. Also, the results of comparing the averages means comparison based on LSD test at the level of 5% showed that according to the obtained results, increasing the traits such as leaf area, flower diameter, number of leaves, dry root dry weight, number of flowers and buds in the plant was were best with compost tea treatment at 45% level. . In the traits of the stem, sub-branches, wet and dry weight of the shoots, the most significant increase was related to the concentration of 60% soil application and in the case of inflorescence length, the most appropriate
