چکیده

Thermal energy storage is considered as a latent heat because of the high energy storage density provided by one of the ways to store energy by the phase-shifting material (PCM). Using PCMs in the building reduces heat fluctuations and reduces consumption Fuel. In this research, simulate of thin plates called DEP (Dupont Energain Panels). These thin plates are used in the walls of the building. In the experiment section, ten of these plates were placed in a container and one time the hot air was passed at 33 ° C (in accordance with the temperature of the day) and again cold air at 7 ° C (in accordance with the night temperature) was passed over them and the thermal performance of the plates Was investigated. The simulation of the thermal performance of these plates was also done by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Validation of simulation data was confirmed by experiment data. In this dissertation, a different flow rate is considered for air to be considered for the duration of the phase change. The results show that with increasing flow velocity, the melting and freezing time decreases and with the decrease of the flow rate, the melting and freezing time increases. The results of this study will be aimed at designing thermal energy storage systems for building ventilation and commercial phase change materials.
