The great events in the literary field, criticism, forced the researcher to inject new concepts into the body of the novel and provide a new analysis of the novel by presenting new concepts. Here the name of the theorist, algierdas Julian grimas stands out among critics who went beyond the traditional concept of character, as he replaced another concept that is a model of action. Action pattern theory is one of the approaches on which literary studies are based; this means that the action pattern is a set of interconnected transformations based on the relationship of the action pattern rule to characters. Julian grimas stepped out of the factor portal in his action pattern theory, defining this model as one of the models that follows three axes; then linking each axis to a dual action.
This study examines the role model in the two novels "Arz Zikola" and "Amarita" by Amr Abdul Hamid based on the theory of the role model and the opinions of Julian grimas to put the character in the spotlight. In this study, we will explain the relationships between characters and analyze their functions in the novel by double reading "zicola land". Among the most prominent axes of this study: examining the relationships and action roles of the novel, taking into account a series of developments and transformations that distinguish the characters of this dual through the roles they play, and showing that action roles and relationships in the three narrative programs between the characters are actually nothing but a series of intertwined situations and transformations. These characters create action roles through interpersonal relationships, and based on these three narrative programs, we try to determine the function of each element and show that each novel involves several narrative conflicts and actions; we also show that actions play several roles based on situations and changes in this narrative program, and are sometimes transmitters and sometimes audiences and sometimes assistan
