Abstract
Media discourse is considered one of the most prominent forms of modern discourse, contributing significantly to shaping collective consciousness and public opinion, as it combines informational, persuasive, and influential functions. This discourse has notably evolved with the expansion of media platforms and its transition into more diverse digital and artistic spaces. In this context, media discourse is no longer confined to journalism but has extended into various literary genres, including poetry. Some contemporary poets, such as Kareem Maatouq, have utilized media techniques, reformulating them into aesthetic structures that give the word an artistic and emotional dimension. This article explores the aesthetic employment of media discourse in Kareem Maatouq’s poetry, adopting a descriptive-analytical approach to trace how media elements are artistically reimagined in poetic form, thus reconstructing media content within an intensified poetic vision that fulfills multiple functions closely linked to reality.
