In this paper we synthesised the Silver nanoparticles having size smaller than 5 nm with controllable size distribution obtained by using the chemical reduction method. UV–VIS spectroscopy is utilized to investigate the effect of concentration of reducing agent on silver nanoparticles and calculate the size of silver nanoparticles. Then we compare the result obtained by using the UV–VIS spectroscopy with Mie scattering theory.
