Background: Organizations and port cities are the important center of maritime and economic actions for any country, therefore, its growth and development can improve trade and communication in internal and external sectors. Sustainability is an important and fundamental principle with 3 environmental, social and economic dimensions, which has been the focus of all business activities in the last two decades. Therefore, the sustainability of port cities leads to effective and efficient environmental, social and economic management, and increases their competitiveness. Therefore, identifying and determining the importance of indicators in the field of sustainability is an effective tool for evaluating the performance of ports.
Aim: The main goal of this research is to design a model in order to identify the dimensions and indicators that are effective in evaluating the sustainable performance of the General Administration of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Bushehr province.
Methodology: The current research is applied in terms of purpose, and descriptive-survey in terms of type and nature. The population and statistical sample includes all related experts of the General Administration of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Bushehr province, 49 of them were selected as a sample through targeted random sampling using the snowball method. In this research, data analysis was done through Fuzzy Dematel and Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network methods, and Microsoft Excel and SPSS software were used respectively.
Conclusions: According to the findings, the management of the General Directorate of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Bushehr province by implementing measures such as protecting the sea level, purifying high water, reducing oil pollution in internal waters, strengthening health and safety at work, creating job security, training employees, Paying attention to future-oriented technology and infrastructure and reducing congestion and stopping time of ships can strengthen the
