“ Dehkhoda” and “Abdul Qadir Mazeni”, who were both contemporary satirists of Persian and Arabic literature,. Their lifetime, prose works, and community conditions are very similar, and this issue raises the hypothesis of the closeness of their prose humor in motivation, content, and style of humor, therefore a comparative study of their oeuvre sounds necessitate. this article attempts to study and analyze the satirical works of two authors, which include a collection of short stories by “ Mazeni” and Dehkhoda”, based on the American comparative method. The findings showed that one of the main reasons for Dehkhoda and Mazani turning to humor was their lives that full of sorrow and tragedy, both have been influenced in humor by Western and Arabic writers such as “Jahez”. The writing style of the two authors in satire is similar in various fields such as content and some styles of expression, which seems to be due to the borrowing of the two authors from a single source, namely the Western storytelling style.
