Abstract
The "Khayyam khani" is one of the most beautiful and prominent manifestations of the regional culture and art of the Persian Gulf coast and Bushehr. This ritual has a long history and consists of music, dance, and the recitation of the poems of Khayyam Neyshaburi, accompanied by the sounds of instruments such as the "Ney Jofti" (An authentic Iranian musical instrument) and the "flute". On the one hand, Khayyam's Rubaiyat contains themes such as the impermanence of life and the invisibility of human destiny, disregard and forgetting past suffering, living in the present and ignoring the difficulties of life and considering it simple; On the other hand, the Rubaiyat of this renowned poet has found great adaptability and compatibility with the principles and way of life of the people who have been influenced by Khayyam's beliefs and philosophy. These factors have led the people of Bushehr province to turn to the Rubaiyat of Khayyam and transformed it into a special and unique form of native and local music Which is known as "Khayyam Khani". This research has been conducted with an ethnographic approach and in a descriptive-analytical manner and Field findings and library resources were used to do this. The present research was conducted due to the importance of the issue of finding answers to the reasons for the popularity of "Khayyam khani" in Bushehr and Khayyam's position among the people of this region. By examining and researching this issue, we found that there were various reasons that influenced the tendency of the people of Bushehr province to Khayyam's Rubaiyat and the formation of the aforementioned ritual ceremony. Some of these reasons include: 1. The compatibility of the philosophy of life of the people of Bushehr with the thoughts and beliefs of Khayyam due to geographical conditions. 2. Khayyam's knowledge of astronomy and its connection with the seafaring of the people of Bushehr. 3. The presence of prominent poets in Bushehr such as "Fayez Dashti" and
