In the process of linguistic description of verbal phenomena, text-oriented linguistics emerged when sentence-oriented linguistics was unable to do this, until (Robert de Beaugrande) came and set seven criteria for textuality, and the text is not a text unless it meets seven criteria, i.e. cohesion, coherence, intentionality, acceptability, informativity, situationality and intertextuality. His text does not specify the extent of text size, but his study was more comprehensive. This study came as an attempt to trace this phenomenon and its stages of development, which is known as “Textual Linguistics and its Seven Criteria” and through the interpretation of “My thoughts about the Noble Qur’an” by Sheikh Muhammad Metwally Al Sha’rawi, with description and analysis that combines theory and practice. The importance of this study lies in the fact that it represents the latest study in linguistics and in terms of its application to the Qur’anic text and then searching for it in the words of the person who interprets the Qur’an. It has been shown from this study that textual linguistics, in addition to paying attention to linguistic communication and its parties (the sender,the audience and the message), is concerned with context and textual interaction. After numerous studies, we saw that Al-Sha’rawi sees the text of the Qur’an as a building that has organic harmony and unity, and that the Qur’anic expression is an intended expression, and that every word in the Qur’an is put in its proper place. He admires the Qur’an’s consideration of the situation in its words, structures and methods, and that its messaging is compatible with all ages, based on their mental maturity. The linguist and he has done this to prove the correctness of the Qur’anic structure, and the addressee reaches a comprehensive meaning, reveals to him its secrets, and identifies the areas of its aesthetics.
