Abstract

Deviance is a key stylistic feature in modern criticism, highlighting the poetic and aesthetic qualities of literary texts. This study analyzed Hilal bin Badr Al-Busaidi's poetry collection, reflecting Omani cultural heritage. Using a stylistic approach, it focused on metaphorical deviance to explore the connection between the text and critical method. The findings reveal that Al-Busaidi employed advanced rhetorical techniques, with metaphor central to his artistic expression, leading to innovative imagery that surpassed traditional meanings. This stylistic deviance distinguished his poetry through a departure from conventional language.
