Abstract

In this study, initially, data resulting from the non-destructive field test of the Falling Weight Deflectometer, which includes deflection of each layer under load, are collected. Then, using a precise, powerful numerical method with high computational speed, the pavement is analyzed using the axisymmetric method. To combine the structural properties of different layers, such as the modulus of elasticity and thickness of the layers, a population and search space within a logical range is considered. Then, using a hybrid method of meta-heuristic optimization algorithm and numerical modeling iteratively, the error of the results obtained using the objective function and minimizing it is calculated. If the error obtained from comparing the deflection data of the test and the calculated results from the simulation engine is less than the acceptable limit set in the problem, the resulting outcome will be considered as the solution to the problem and the output of the back calculations.
