Abstract

In the last thirty years, Iran's nuclear program has become the focus of foreign policy and interaction with its neighbors and world powers. Completing a half-finished project and obtaining the fuel cycle within the framework of international law and the independence of the Iranian people brought many challenges for national interests. The introduction of the nuclear case in the Governors Agency and then the Security Council and the endless nuclear negotiations have still placed us in the nuclear security orbit. In this context, the neighbors and regional competitors such as Saudi Arabia have also taken special policies towards our country in accordance with the developments in the nuclear case of the western powers. Sometimes this policy is to accompany them and sometimes it has been a different strategy, which has been especially affected by the presence of nuclear Israel in the region and, of course, an attempt to balance geopolitical developments in accordance with the security perceptions of that country. In this article, while using library documents and evidences and using descriptive analytical method in the framework of the theory of neoclassical realism, the different periods of Saudi Arabia's behavior during the last three decades towards the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran and finding the roots of its unique behaviors will be examined.
