Abstract
The literature of the sustainability of societies and nations is almost the twin of the formative and birth time of those societies. Contemporary Lebanese literature has also seen many poets and writers who have defended the culture of sustainability against the occupation of the Zionist regime with their pen and language. Ali Hijazi, a prominent Lebanese novelist, has addressed this issue based on ideological realism in his collection of stories titled “A New Sign of Victory.” In this study, the author aims to answer this important question: What are the most important manifestations of ideological realism used in the collection of stories “A New Sign of Victory?” A careful examination of this collection of stories yields the following results: strengthening the spirit of martyrdom and honoring the status of martyrs, warriors, and veterans, strengthening the spirit of indomitability and fearlessness in the face of the enemy, creating a spirit of hope in the hearts of the people, expressing the crimes of the Zionist regime in international courts, following the example of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), introducing the characteristics of the leader of the Lebanese resistance, including indomitability, courage, creating hope in the people, and despising the Zionist enemy.
