Abstract

The Syntax of Sayyid Alinaghi Hosseini Dashti, a magnificent and unpublished work from the 13th century AH, is one of the most prominent scientific works in the field of Arabic grammar and syntax, written in poetic verse and in the meter of Al-Fiyah by Ibn Malik Al-Andalusi. The importance and necessity of this research is that the aforementioned work, despite its prominent position in scientific poetic literature, has not received sufficient attention and there is a risk of its decline. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method based on the study of existing copies and analysis of its content, introduces and examines this unknown work and emphasizes the necessity of its revival and publication in order to preserve this precious heritage and provide a basis for its scientific and educational benefit. Studies show that this poem, in 736 verses and 47 chapters, combines complex syntactic concepts with spiritual teachings by utilizing novel literary techniques and an ethics-oriented approach. This work has a special place not only as an educational text; but also as a comprehensive model in linking linguistic knowledge with practical wisdom; also, this poem is considered a mirror of the cultural and scientific situation of the Bushehr plain region in its period and can be a valuable source for understanding the intellectual and scientific atmosphere of that era.
