Abstract

Background: The stability of marriage is a structure in marital relations, which is defined as the legal remaining of the marriage relationship in a family (absence of dissolution or divorce) over time. Aim: The present study was to predict the stability of married life based on romantic attachment styles, sexual performance and conflict resolution methods of women in two groups with stable and unstable married life in Isfahan province. Methodology: The current research method was correlational and predictive. The statistical population of this research was the married women of Isfahan province in 1402, from which 516 people were selected as available. Based on the cut point of marital instability questionnaire, 414 people were in the group with stable married life and 102 people were in the group with unstable married life. The data collection tools included questionnaires of women's marital instability index (MLL), romantic attachment styles (BSQ), sexual performance (FSFI) and conflict resolution methods (ROCI-II). Findings: The findings of the research showed that secure, disturbed, discrete romantic attachment styles and sexual performance as well as integrated, alienating, dominant, compromising and forced conflict resolution styles affect women's group membership in two groups with stable married life and Conclusions: Therefore, according to the findings of this research, we can point out the importance and influence of romantic attachment styles, sexual performance and conflict resolution methods in predicting the stability of married life.
