Bartheleme, the American Postmodernist writer, rewrites a fairy tale, The Snow White, as a 20th century piece of destruction. By retelling a well-known fairy tale in a humorously sarcastic tone, he created a seemingly easily-handled atmosphere for the readers. However, he has entrapped them by forcing them to confront and challenge the hierarchies of meaning and philosophic systems of thought.
