Abstract

Since its inception, the novel has been the main literary form to reflect women's lives, and women writers have made the most of it to reflect different aspects of their thoughts and lives. Today, due to the essential role of women in the growth and development of societies and as a result, the need to pay attention to their position and position, the need to address women's concerns and issues, that too through the study of Persian novels, is more obvious than ever. Shahrnoush Parsipour (1945-?) is one of the successful and prolific writers in the field of Iranian fiction literature, who wrote many of his works, such as the dog and the long winter (1976) and tuba and the meaning of the night (1989), focusing on women. . These two works represent the living conditions of Iranian women during the Qajar period, the constitutional revolution, and the Pahlavi era. In this research, by focusing on the thoughts, concerns and actions of the female characters of these two novels, an attempt is made to create an image of the society and the ruling culture, the way society looks at women and the way society confronts them and finally the possible transformation of capital. of women, be shown. In order to achieve these goals, efforts are made to investigate and analyze the fields in which female characters are present, as well as the extent to which women benefit from different capitals in these fields, based on the theory of types of capital and Pierre Bourdieu's field.Studies show that despite the limitations and pressures of the patriarchal environment of the family and society, women have never stopped trying to identify themselves and change society's view of themselves, and not only with zero capital, but sometimes only with negative capital such as superstitions and habits. As popularization and acceptance, they have tried to improve their position.
