Abstract

Periwinkel is a shrubby or herbaceous plant that is maintained and cultivated in the tropics. On the other hand, seaweed has a high percentage of salts and mineral compounds that supply the needs of plants for nutrients, and plays an important role in soil fertility. Therefore, in this study, the use of green algae (Enteromorpha intestinalis), red (Gracilaria corticata) and brown (Sargassum angustifolium) in the culture medium as an effective factor in improving the quality and quantity of two species Periwinkel :rosea and burgundy in factorial design Completely randomized with three replications in the summer of 2019 was designed and implemented in the greenhouse of the college of Agriculture, Persian Gulf University, located in the suburbs of Borazjan. For this study, green, red and brown algae were prepared at 0, 10, 25, 35 and 50% by volume level and transplanted by Pervansh flowers in existing substrates. For stem height, root length, number, length and relative leaf water content, fresh and dry weight of roots, shoots and total, chlorophyll A, B and total, carotenoids, potassium, phosphorus and calcium as well as proline in both cultivars The highest amount was obtained in periwinkle flowers grown in substrate containing 50% green algae and 10% red algae and in brown algae, 25% concentration was obtained for dwarf periwinkle and 35% concentration was found for tall periwinkle. In the case of sodium, the highest concentrations were obtained in the substrate containing 50% of red algae and 10% of green and brown algae. The highest number of lateral branches in all three types of algae was obtained in the bed without algae (0%). The highest number, diameter and persistence of flowers were obtained in the substrate containing 50% green algae, 25% brown algae and no red algae.
