Abstract

Background: Considering the economic importance of growing flowers and plants in the world, the use of new technology and methods in improving the quality of ornamental plants for their marketability can play a significant role in the sale of these products and their trade in international markets. Aim: In order to succeed in the production of agricultural products, it is necessary to choose suitable plant material and meet its needs. Correct understanding of plant growth, knowing plant needs and managing their consumption is the key to success in production. In this regard, mankind has achieved good results. One of these achievements is the use of seaweeds, which play a very important role in human life today (food industry, animal nutrition, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, dyes, chemical and fuel production). Soilless cultivation has been used successfully for decades to produce more at less cost. Ship substrates such as cocopeat and compost have been used in horticulture for many years due to their lightness, cheapness and easier decomposition by microorganisms. Methodology: The design was implemented as a factorial experiment in the form of a completely random design. The factors of this experiment include: two types of compost cultivation substrate of date leaves and cocopeat, two types of green and brown algae, three concentrations of algae extract (0, 5, 10%) which were carried out on 48 pots as 12 treatments with 4 repetitions. . Fresh and dry weight of shoots and roots, number of leaves and flowers, leaf and flower area, flower length and diameter, plant height, number of side branches, root volume, chlorophyll index, membrane stability, flower anthocyanin, total chlorophyll a and b, amount of elements Phosphorus, potassium and sodium were investigated and measured.
