The tetraaza[14]annulenes, diazadioxa[14]annulenes and tetraaza[16]annulenes have attracted as a class of organic compounds in a variety of areas such as electrochemical activity and interaction with nucleic acids. The general structure of these compounds is shown below (Scheme 1). Scheme 1
In the present study new vinamidinium salts were reported for the synthesis of some different ligands of brominated derivatives of diazadioxa[14]annulene and tetraaza[14] and [16]annulene derivatives. Synthesis of a variety of novel 6,13-disubstituted tetraaza[14] and dioxa-diaza [14] annulenes by using the reaction of ?-substituted vinamidinium salts with aromatic 1,2-diamines or 2-aminophenol in present of acetic acid or triethylamine and acetonitril were described (Schemes 2 and 3). Moreover, 7,15-disubstituted tetraaza[16] annulene derivatives were synthesized by using the reaction of ?-substituted vinamidinium salts with aromatic 1,3-diamines or in present of acetic acid or triethylamine and acetonitril (Scheme 4). The structure of these novel compounds were investigated by IR, 1HNMR and 13CNMR spectroscopy. ?????
