Heterocyclic chemistry has become one of the most important fields of research in pharmaceutical industry due to their many fold applications.1 Benzothiazoles and benzotriazoles are extensively applied in various consumer products and industrial application that they are employed as vulcanization additives in rubber and corrosion inhibitors.2 Synthesis of benzothiazole derivatives is necessary since benzothiazole is of major interest in medicinal chemistry due to its wide range of biological activities.This is why many effective and attractive methods were developed for the synthesis of benzothiazole derivatives.3 Besides, the application of these molecules was ascer- tained by testing their anticancer potential because of a great de- mand of new anticancer drugs.4
