Abstract

Introduction: This research was conducted with the aim of explaining the mediating role of knowledge sharing in the relationship between artificial intelligence and organizational creativity among librarians working in the libraries of medical universities located in Tehran. Methodology: The research method was descriptive-survey and, from the perspective of purpose, applied. The statistical population consisted of all librarians employed in the libraries of medical universities in Tehran. Given the limited size of the population, a census method was used for data collection, and a total of 214 questionnaires were completed and collected. Data gathering was carried out between October and December 2024. To measure the research variables, valid and standardized instruments were used. The level of artificial intelligence utilization was assessed through a 22-item questionnaire in five dimensions (AI management, AI-based decision-making, AI infrastructure, AI readiness, and AI-related skills) adapted from Chen et al. (2022). Organizational creativity was measured using the 15-item instrument developed by Liao and Wu (2013). The knowledge sharing indicator was evaluated using the 12-item questionnaire developed by Damaj et al. (2016). All instruments were designed based on a five-point Likert scale. The validity of the instruments was confirmed through convergent and discriminant validity analyses, and their reliability was verified by calculating Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS software. In this regard, model fit indices, path analysis, and the test of the mediating role were evaluated. Findings: The results showed a positive and significant relationship between artificial intelligence and organizational creativity. Additionally, artificial intelligence had a positive and significant effect on knowledge sharing. Moreover, knowledge sharing established a positive and significant relationship with organizational creativity. Conclusion: The an
