Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a vulnerable period for the emergence of many disorders, especially anxiety disorders, so that statistics show that 18.6% of adolescents suffer from a type of anxiety and disorders related to it. There are different types of anxiety, and test anxiety is one of them, and it generally appears in the middle childhood to adolescence period, and in this period, social and academic performance is the main issue of fear or anxiety in children and adolescents. Aim : Comparative study of the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive bias modification towards signs of threat on perfectionism, emotion regulation and resilience of high school girls with test anxiety. Methodology: The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive bias modification towards signs of threat on perfectionism, resilience and emotion regulation of high school girls with test anxiety. The current research design was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the research was made up of female students with test anxiety in Bushehr city, and the sampling method in the first stage of selection was voluntary; In this way, 45 students were selected from among the students who scored at least 40 in the Ahvaz test anxiety questionnaire and were replaced in the experimental group: acceptance and commitment therapy (15), the cognitive bias modification experimental group (15) and the control group (15) and at first they completed the questionnaires related to the research variables. Then, the experimental group of acceptance and commitment therapy 8 sessions of 90 minutes during one month and 2 sessions per week were trained in therapy on the protocol of acceptance and commitment therapy , and the experimental group of cognitive bias modification also performed the task of cognitive bias modification with probe dot for 8
