Abstract

Although the political history of the Persian Gulf has received little attention due to its distance from the political centers of Iran during the Safavid to Qajar period, this neglect has been more and more extensive regarding the cultural and social issues of this region. According to its location, this region has had the capacity to model the social environment of Muslim Arabs as well as the environments outside the region and Iran. The special and distinct climate of this region could also be effective in cultural and social patterns. In this regard, the coverage of the people of this area can be examined. This research seeks to examine the prevailing coverage of the people in the Persian Gulf region, the factors affecting it and the differences in the coverage of the people in this region and other regions of Iran. This research was done using descriptive-analytical method and using library resources. According to the type of research, the main sources used were travelogues. The results of this research show that the clothing of men and women in these areas is formed due to the phenomenon of climate, religion and commercial target areas. On this basis, their cover was soft and thin, usually white in color and with a complete cover surface. The official clothing of the women of this region has been a national tent, and their ornaments have not been unaffected by the external environment. However, in the back areas of the northern coast of this sea, due to the climatic difference, men's clothing became thicker. Although the type of women's clothing was still a tent, it was not unaffected by the cultural environment of Ili's life. Also, the results of this research show that there was not much difference between the coverage of the people of this region and other regions of Iran.
