Abstract

The risk assessment approach is one of the main axes of establishing and using management systems in organizations, which enables organizations to meet the requirements that lead to the error prevention approach. The Persian Gulf has special environmental and natural conditions that distinguish it from other water areas. In recent years, due to destructive human activities, many damages have been caused to these ecosystems, and if these activities continue, irreparable damage to these ecosystems is not far from the mind. Therefore, these sensitive ecosystems need protective and preventive measures against environmental pollution. This research is conducted in offshore drilling rigs located in South Pars region with the aim of identifying the environmental aspects. And practical and preventive solutions were presented in order to reduce or eliminate the environmental effects using the method of analysis of failure modes and its effects on the environment. This method is a qualitative method that is used in the production development process, and its purpose is to identify and prioritize important environmental aspects, which result in environmental consequences during the life cycle. Therefore, to evaluate these aspects, the risk priority number was determined and the degree of riskiness was also calculated using the frequency distribution method. In this research, according to the calculations made in the field of environmental pollution risk assessment of offshore drilling rigs in South Pars in 1401, the number of data is 132 cases, the number of categories is 8 cases, the smallest risk priority number is 2. The largest risk priority number is 36 and the category length is calculated as 4.25. As a result, risks with a risk score higher than 12.75 as a very high risk level, risks with a risk score between 8.5 and 12.75 as high risks, risks with a risk score between 4.25 to 8.5 as medium risks, risks with a risk score lower than 4.25 were considered as low risks.
