Today by spreading of existing diseases and emergence of new infections,
special attention to the vaccinology is necessary. In the past decade the
progress made in the process of gene sequencing, pathogens gene sequencing
more rapidly done. That accelerates the process of the new vaccine
manufacturing. The protection against invading pathogens and cells infected by
viruses aware of the immune system (humoral and cellular immunity) is very
important. Aware of this process, it’s necessary in the epitopes prediction
process and vaccine design. With respect to the progress made in this field, still
tests needed to identify appropriate areas, is costly and requiring inexpensive,
practical, fast and with high precision tools is essential. Immunoinformatics was
created due to the needs. This science is a branch of bioinformatics, which was
formed by bioinformatics fast growing and massive data derived from gene
sequencing, immunology and vaccinology. Nowadays many bases as SYFPEITHI,
BIMAS, ProPred and NetCTL for T cells and BepiPred, ABCPred, Bcepred for B
cells has been created. This article discusses and reviews the available tools to
predict the appropriate B and T epitopes for vaccine design.
