A new magnetic nanomaterial namely [Fe3O4@SiO2@Si-pr-NMe2-et-NHMe2][FeCl4] [HSO4] (FSPNFH) was constructed, and characterized using EDS, elemental mapping, FT-IR, FE-SEM, VSM, XRD, and TG analyses. Therefore, FSPNFH was exploited as a magnetically recoverable catalyst for the fabrication of 14-aryl-14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthenes via the condensation of aryl aldehydes (1 eq.) with 2-naphthol (2 eq.) under solvent-free conditions. The xanthene derivatives were obtained in high yields (89-97%) and short times (15-30 min). FSPNFH was reused twice without significant diminishing in its activity.
