Abstract

An efficient, simple and clean solvent-free procedure for the preparation of N-sulfonyl imines is described. The reaction of sulfonamides with different aromatic aldehydes in the presence of silicaphosphinoxide (Silphox) [POCl3−n(SiO2)n] as a new and heterogeneous reagent affords the title compounds in good to high yields.
