Abstract

The main field of research is to investigate the effect of industrial concentration and import of capital goods on the intensity of energy consumption in Iran's industries, which is important considering the importance and special position of industry in the country's economy and the strong role of energy as an important factor in industries. The main goal of the study is to try to increase the efficiency of energy resources because the importance of energy in all aspects of life. It is obvious that humans are omnipresent and the efforts to reduce the amount of energy consumption. Among all energy consumers, the industry sector has the largest share and since the industry sector is a stepping stone to achieve economic development and growth, it is necessary to study and study the intensity of energy consumption in the industry sector and in In order to improve energy consumption in this sector, decisions should be made to achieve economic goals. In order to conduct this study, first, by examining the amount of energy consumption in industries, the statistical community consisting of Iranian industries and the statistical sample of industries with 2-digit AISIC codes are for study. Due to the limitation to collect data in the field, to collect data in the library method and citing the data of the Iranian Statistics Center; Model variables are collected. The variables of the model include the price variable of energy carriers, industrial concentration calculated by the Herfindahl-Hirschman method and relative entropy and the import of capital goods as independent variables and influencing the dependent variable which is the intensity of energy consumption. Variables are composite data types. So, the model fits the variables after the data type detection tests, the panel data model is known as panel data. After identifying the appropriate model for estimating the variables present in the model by performing the significance test of the variables, we entered the variabl
