Abstract

Iran is a land with a water area and recognition in the maritime domain. Maritime calamities such as sea storms and other incidents, especially in the Persian Gulf, have caused many accidents. Therefore, it is very important and vital to design the structure of the ships properly and in such a way that they have a high reliability factor and at the same time a low weight in the incoming loads. Carrying out academic research will be a good foundation for mastering the concepts and physics governing the problem in order to help the industry to perform calculations and implement the construction of vessels, and carrying out such projects can lead to greater cooperation between the university and the industry, in order to meet the country's needs in be the mentioned field. In this research, the aim is to simulate the middle section of a landing craft and finally to optimize the float. For this purpose, by creating a finite element simulation, the structural stresses created in the float will be investigated. Then, using the method of theory of experiments, we proceed to the mathematical modeling of the behavior of the structure. After the end of the simulation and extracting the results, the contours and diagrams will be checked and the quantitative and qualitative role of all effective parameters in the design of the float will be identified. According to the results presented in this research, the structure of the middle section, which has 3 transverse beams with 1 transverse frame between each and 2 longitudinal beams, is the most optimal mode for bearing stress and bending and the least weight.
