Abstract

it caused a series of regional, national and global developments and changes until the Persian gulf became the center of attention of safavid kings, Europeans and ottomans during the 10th century and they played a role in commercial, military and naval developments.This researchis Looking for an answer to the investigation that the formation and development of Dilam city and the social, economic, political and cultural conditions of Dilam in the contemporary Period were influenced by what factors? This research wasdone in a descriptive-analytical way and using libarary-documentary techniques. The hypothesis of this research is that the suitable geographic location and maritime communication have been important factors in the formation and development of Dilam city and its social, economic, administrative, and cultural conditions.The purpose of this research is to show the impact of domestic and international developments on the changes in the political geography of the northern shores of the Persian Gulf, including the port of Dilam.The findings of this research show that Dilam port has played a significant role in the economy of the Persian GulfSo that this port has commercial relations with East African countries including Tanzania, and in the Persian Gulf with Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.In addition to foreign trade, this port is considered as the commercial center of Behbahan.The existence of associations such as Brotherhood Association and Sri Dilam Association has added to the political and social importance of this portIn the cultural field, both this port and this port have progressed in line with other cities of Bushehr
