Abstract

In the present thesis, we want to study the fission process of the excited nucleus 210Rn produced in fusion reaction16O+194Pt in the framework of the modified statistical model with considering the effects of projection of spin about the symmetry axis, K, and temperature. In our study, we calculate the fission probability and the evaporation residue cross section of the compound nucleus after evaporation light particles and by fitting the calculated data with the experimental data extract the magnitude of the temperature coefficient of the effective potential, 𝛼, and the scaling factor of the fission barrier height, 𝑟𝑠. We show that appropriate values of these parameters for 210Rn are 𝛼 =0.0160± 0.005 and 𝑟𝑠=1.0030±0.0020. Then, in order to show that the ability of this model to estimate another features of fission process, we calculate for example neutron and proton multiplicities. Furthermore, we show that the calculated data are satisfactorily in agreement with the experimental data.
