Introduction
I’m Dr. Hojat Ghimatgar, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Intelligent Systems and Data Science at Persian Gulf University. My academic and research interests bridge neuroscience, engineering, and artificial intelligence.
I specialize in fields such as sleep studies, brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, cognitive science, and the analysis of the brain's functional and structural activity. My research focuses on processing and interpreting brain signals to enhance our understanding of brain function and behavior, with applications in healthcare, assistive technologies, and neuroengineering.
Beyond research, I am committed to teaching and mentoring students in courses including digital signal processing, image processing, filter design and synthesis, and data science. I strive to foster interdisciplinary thinking and innovation in future engineers and researchers.
