Abstract

Conceptual metaphor in the cognitive semantics approach, which is a branch of cognitive linguistics, is one of the main mechanisms of the thinking process and a tool for expressing abstract concepts in the form of objective concepts. The entry of cognitive linguistics into the field of interpretation and semantics of the Qur'an has created a new development in the understanding of Quranic texts. One of the applications of conceptual metaphors is a tool for analysis and worldview of texts, especially religious and Quranic texts. The Holy Qur'an has established a metaphorical nature between different worlds and with the help of conceptual metaphor has presented to humanity very complex concepts of the unseen such as the abstract concept of the afterlife in a simple and recognizable language in the form of empirical concepts; Therefore, applying the conceptual metaphor approach can be effective in understanding the Qur'anic concepts as much as possible. The most important findings of this study are the inference of the name of the mappings of the Hereafter in the Holy Quran and Identify systematic correspondences between the domain of the "hereafter" as the domain of "target" and the domains of the source. The domains of
