After Baba Tahir, Fayez is the most famous couplet writer in Iran. His language is similar to the folk poetry. In his poetry, he has used various verbal and spiritual arrays. One of the most prominent arrays which can be seen clearly in his couplets is the array of symmetry.
In this paper, the author has studied this array in Fayez couplets to answer the following question. Is the symmetry in Fayez poetry used merely as an array and a decoration of the word or is it to convey his meanings and intentions? The researcher used the analytical-descriptive method and library study to answer the question. The result of the research suggests that Fayez has taken suitable words from different domains in many of his couplets regarding the topic of his speech and intention. He has used the power of the words to convey his meaning and illustration. Therefore, symmetry in his couplets is not merely an array, but the poet has built his artistic illustrations based on this array in many of his couplets.
