Objectives: Nowadays, the use of herbal plants as antimicrobial agents for controlling and treatment of bacterial disease in poultry industry are increasing. In this study the effect of five extracts was surveyed on two pathogenic bacteria, including Escherichia coli and salmonella sp that isolated from per hepatitis and cloacae swab respectively in local chicken. These herbal extract includes: Orobanche Ramose which is an annual perennial parasitic plant that has no chlorophyll and lacks conspicuous leaves. Ziziphus Rotundifolia that is native to the south of Iran. Plantago psyllium that is a genus of about 200 species found all over the world. Ficus carica which is widely grown throughout the temperate world, and is used for its fruit and as an ornamental plant. Carthamus tinctorius that is commercially cultivated for vegetable oil extracted from the seeds.
