Background: Men live less than women four years on average, and three time as many women take their lives through suicide, and showing poor mental and physical health outcomes through out their lives. International research has shown that men are reluctant to contribute mental health problems.
Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impediments of psychological aid in men.
Methodology: The method of this study is based on qualitative approach of the systematic foundation for strauss and corbin in tentions. The population consisted of Bushehr city employees whose choice was made using purposeful sampling. The research tool was structured in a half- structured interview. The interviews were conducted to 20 cases and theoretical saturation was achieved. The data were analyzed in three open coding models, axial coding and selection.
Results: The findings indicated that the axial phenomenon involves the challenge of manhood for psychological help. The condition of cause creating the challenge of manhood for psychological help contains inability to identify emotions, the difficulty in expressing problems and emotions, Tend to have a secreted, and haven't been exposed, consulting not be a priority,prohibitive conceptualization,social stigma, self stigma, inmotivation for counselling, Tabo psychological and mental issues, fear of loss of credit and interest, the fear of judging by the psychologist, the family's negative view of consulting,the fear of judging of ridicule from those around hime, negative attitudes towards psychologist. Moreover, the lack of mental health literacy, incongruous educational culture with consulting, feeling of conflict with male identity, adherence of traditional norms of masculinity formed the most important contextual features of influencing the strategies.
